Replacement battery · 12V 7Ah
The battery your EmberGuard’s push-button start needs.
Which pump it fits.
Compatibility
One pump: EmberGuard
The Hephaestus EmberGuard Battery 12V 7Ah is the sealed battery we supply for the EmberGuard fire pump, and it is the only pump it is sold for.
EmberGuard’s manual specifies a 12V 8Ah battery and we supply 12V 7Ah. Both figures are right: 8Ah is hard to source in Cyprus, 7Ah does the work, and the pump is built for either.
EmberGuard starts on the recoil cord with no battery fitted, so this is the push-button convenience rather than a part the pump cannot run without.
Built around the numbers that matter.

Questions and answers
EmberGuard Battery FAQ
The questions buyers ask us about this battery, answered with the rated figures.
Does my EmberGuard need this battery?
No. EmberGuard starts on the recoil cord with no battery fitted. The battery is what gives you push-button starting, which matters when you are starting a pump in the dark or in a hurry.
Will it fit my other Hephaestus pump?
It is sold for the EmberGuard. The other pumps in the range take their own capacities, and we list each battery against the one pump it is supplied for, so you are never matching a terminal layout by eye.
How is it supplied?
In Cyprus we hand it over in person rather than shipping it, which is how every battery on this site is supplied. Outside Cyprus, source one locally to the specification above and we will confirm the fit.
How should I store it between seasons?
For long idle periods or winter storage, disconnect the battery and keep it on a suitable maintainer. Store the pump dry, ventilated, and off the floor.
Does it need topping up or maintenance?
No. It is a sealed VRLA AGM battery in a leak- and spill-proof container, so there is nothing to top up and nothing to spill if it is knocked over in a shed.
What warranty and delivery apply?
The terms on our Warranty page apply, and delivery times are in the Shipping & Returns panel on this page.
